I have been lucky, I feel lucky, to have learned about a local garden club, "The Garden Club of Trinidad". I also feel lucky to have been invited to join, because of the nature of the Club and private visit to members homes as the Club does not have a formal home of their own, the closed knit and protective garden group. I would be attending my first meeting in 5 days and I am particularly excited.

Via Queen Street the sunsets are spectacular and apparently the fishing ain't that bad either. Earlier this evening. Side notes: 1. I've always wanted to come explore on this end of town although it scares me. I think one day perhaps in the height of the day I'll venture alone otherwise I always felt it wise to go w company. One of the reasons I haven't yet ventured to those parts. It has a rough finish. A city finish. I always supposed one day when it's right it will be. He had time today and suggested we go to one of the places I wanna shoot, he was like that one place you wanted company for. I wasn't ready mentally to photowalk this afternoon, I've had a emotional rollercoaster of a week but I value first impressions and behind the camera my mind and being tends to reset, so I left w and open mind. I have only a handful of photos I'll share them even the ones I don't think are perfect, because I think they're all special. I've only touch the surface. While waking there I couldn't help but imagine back in the day. The balconies on the buildings overlooking the Main Street, the fishing village and wharf, the colonial (guessing here) style town w brick work (the I love) that can be found on some of the older southern homes, the intricate fret work on the terminal buildings and the Happy Corner Hotel on the corner (would be nice in a fantasy world to stay there and wake up and watch life unfold from the top floor balcony, but I'm not entirely sure if it's that kind of hotel). I am so intrigued by this part of South. It must have been a special place. 2. I think after much trial I'm am closer to mastering composing for these IG squares the trick to shoot in portrait and using two thirds of the view finder is working for me! "some of the best days of our lives haven't happened yet..." I'm thankful for today, the sun and the trees!
Now I enjoy watching my mains have their coffee while I try new decaffeinated options... trying to find my new normal. Making lemonade nah. Bright side thinking. We've been taking. And agree that's this... this is so much more than the coffee. Good coffee just makes it so much better. But it's all about the time we share over our cups. Lingering. Even with oneself and ones cup. Full. Until it empties. I love asking "wanna go have coffee?" I get all happy inside just thinking about having a cup while reading my current book, on a morning as I start my day, after lunch as I get into the evening.... while I relax. Truth is I've romanticized coffee and now it feels like my coffee heart is heartbroken. #decaffeinating
