Explore and Wander | Tobago's Kariwak Village Hotel Gardens
The first thing you notice about Kariwak Village Hotel isn't it's garden areas. But it is truly one of the most memorable things about the Hotel and surrounding grounds.
Just about a $40 TTD taxi ride straight from the domestic arrival terminal at the Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport, the only airport in sweet Tobago or a 10-15 minute walk, f you do choose a walk, the hotel is tucked at the end of Kariwak Village Lane off of Old Store Bay Rd, In Bon Accord Village.
At the entrance you walk along a gentle curved pathway in between flowers, plants and trees... to the right a dilapidated growing house stands in all its imperfection. It's home for the hotels kitchen garden of green leafy edibles. Continuing along are carrot sheds, water features and garden rooms tucked along the side of a path that leads to an open green area, covered hammocks and the properties second but more intimate pool. I spent every morning here walking, in solitude with God and the fresh air, until my coffee was finished. Wanderlust, there are post cards from my early mornings in this Tobago garden below.
