Coffee Talks | Weekend coffee share

If we were having coffee we'd probably sitting. We'd probably be already close or about to get really close. We'd most likely listening to each other talk. I probably be trying to be a good listener and try my hardest not to take a photo of our coffee. If however we are really having coffee, and it were a comfortable space, most likely you'd probably be dying also to take a photo of our coffee too and we'd get into it. There, we got that out of the way. If we were having coffee we'd by now already have photos of our cups in someway that satisfied us to now just have coffee, each other and the time we are about to share.

If we're having coffee I'd probably tell you about the amazing books I am reading and how much I am learning about life and my interactions with people. I may also be telling you about my pour over creative journey where I am learning about coffee, origins and indulging in a weekend coffee ritual that is inspiring me to have more coffee slow and natural.

If we were having coffee I would probably be excited as hell telling you that I have decided on my next travel destination while gushing about how proud I am of myself that I have not, as per my usual self, been plane ticket shopping and that I am content with waiting it out. I also be admitting that this in itself while great is building a fierce desire to travel, an anticipation beyond reason and I may blow any moment now. I would laugh, we'd laugh and you'd assure me that I can do it once I set my mind to it. I resign myself to my commitment to travel next with companion and remain confident that it would be my next trip. And I'd  not being surfing the web to check flight prices.

If we were having coffee I'd probably either be dreaming of having my second cup or already on it. Sigh. I would be explaining to you or most likely just trying to convince myself, as per usual that no, that I don't have a problem. I just love coffee. I love the art of slowly sipping on something hot and no tea won't work, neither would hot water. Only coffee works.

If we were having coffee I may share with you that lately I have been consumed with thoughts of motherhood. Hmmm. And changing careers to being a home maker. I would then wake up from this momentary dream and tell you about how my exciting little making films excursions are, and that I am loving it. The last one I did was titled scenes from "the Weekend". I'd tell you also of the challenge of being an introvert and finding the subjects for the films I want to make. I would share with you my challenge this week where I have put pressure on myself to ask a friend, maybe it would be easier with a stranger, to assist me in my weekly making film that requires a human. Go figure I would be behind the camera. I would also tell you that I am contemplating, to avoid all this awkward asking, to be the human in my own film just so as to not be a complete failure. If we were having coffee, I'd probably ask you to be my human, the film is called "Portrait" and it's about the things my subject likes to do.

If we were having coffee I'd hope to catch right up with you, learn how you are keeping and becoming closer, better, friends.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that this am I am glad to have woken to my girls Weekend coffee share that I have been inspired to do my own.

If we were having coffee, you’d also want to know more about this awesome link-up where coffee (or some other awesome beverage) is being shared over some great conversations.

#WeekendCoffeeShare originated at Part Time Monster:

I started the Weekend Coffee Share last year after lots of feedback and several months of writing posts that imagined a conversation with my blog readers that started with the “if we were having coffee” line. The coffee share runs on the weekends, and there aren’t a lot of rules—-posts just need to be formatted like a conversation over beverages (we’ve had tea-drinkers and cocktail-hours as well as coffee) AND be written within the past week (so you don’t need to publish on the weekend to join the link-up). The hashtag #weekendcoffeeshare is in use all weekend on Twitter and Facebook, and it is sometimes used a bit during the week as well. .~Part Time Monster
