OUR CORRESPONDENCE:

January 17th 2018.

Dear Tishanna;

I have gone ahead and added my inspiration photos and text and edited the agreement based on what we discussed on Jan 10th. Refer to the following amendments:

  1.  Is this a "Collaborative Project" or strictly a "For Hire" Services"
  2. Clause on MODEL RELEASE
  3. Clause on PRICING
  4. Clause on COLLABORATIONS ON CREATIVE AND PASSION PROJECTS

I am still working on collecting shots, and developing a shot list to align with your Storyboarding Concept, which I love and feel very intimate with. Something I have been personally working on is making more ritual out of my routine. See text except that I shared on your page.

Looking forward to working with you on this.

Regards

Chan

January 10th 2018.

Chan,

This may give a better idea re: time. I know wanting different types of light does not necessarily mean that it has to be done at that time of day. Thus I am giving you my perfect picture idea and you will tell make suggestions/point out issues and we will adjust or delete to suit.

The idea for the shoot is ritual and routine, in any order and combination e.g.

·       Ritual as Routine

·       Routine becoming Ritual

·       Routine as Ritual

Storyboarding Concept

No matter how we do it, we all begin, move through and end our day.

It’s the things we do as part of this cycle that either upset us, driven us, gladden us etc.

How we begin, exist and end our day matters. It constitutes our life which is probably why lifestyle editorial pics often highlight the subject amidst elements that reflect their existence. I think you have the power to make ordinary things beautiful, not in a way that excites but one that escapes a person. I want to escape and live there.

Thus I would like to craft a morning into night day along the lines of;

Find Your Light

Vibe: Morning indoors

Prompt: wake up, coffee, window light, alarm clock

Idea 1: Undercovers, shot of back, hand out to shut up alarm clock

Dress 2 White body suit with a colorful light cardigan.  Like the Shop Shari throw overs.

Live in Light

Vibe: Daytime outdoors

Prompt: “I’ll be outside, trying to paint my new sky blue or paint it red or paint it green or any color that makes me feel…”

Shine your Light/Glow

Vibe: Indoors/Night Indoors

Idea 1: Sitting on bed, surrounded by comforts while working.

Idea 2: Dancing around outside with sparklers

Dress 2: 1ndividual Top - glows in dark. White boy shorts

January 4th 2018

Hey Love!

Thank you so much for agreeing to donate your time and energy to this. I am more appreciative than I could ever express.

I am sending you these images from online and your IG page as a sort of mood board but in addition I want to also say why I like your work so you have a sense of what about it draws me for this particular project.

You have a way of making the simplest things stand out amidst the busiest settings almost effortlessly. You shoot strong images but never loose the fragility of the moment (if one exists) and your entire picture is a piece where all the subjects (every item) work together to create this moment. I love that and hope you can bring some of that to my world for a day.

I'm thinking more of a VINTAGE GLAM meets BLACK GIRL MAGIC

Essentially its

  • Headshots
  • Lifestyle Editorial shots.

I'll wait on your advice. Feel free to comment or critique. Thank you again Chan!
